COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA
The beach is pretty uncrowded in January because at that time of year, even though you can walk around with no jacket on, the water is still too cold to be in other than just rolling up your pants and wading. But it is very nice and relaxing either strolling along the beach or just sitting and relaxing.
The birds don't mind your company at all
I could not figure out this at all. Someone crocheted a cover for the post that holds the trash cans. I thought this was kind of bizarre.
TYGERT FALLS, WEST VIRGINIA
You can get on a train in Elkins, WV and take a little trip to Tygert Falls. The train stops for about 45 minutes or so and you can walk down the track and down some steps and see the falls. This is what our family did last Summer. The train serves you a nice lunch and there is a guy that announces any landmarks or interesting things you should look out for on the way. It is a very nice relaxing trip. Just be sure you don't fall in the water while you are exploring or else it is cold on the train, since the train is air-conditioned.
