My Bucket Lists


 MY OLD BUCKET LIST
Most of these I will never be able to do because of age, and/or physical ability. But I wrote these many years ago.  It is interesting to see how over the years some of the things you want change and some don't.

  1. Water ski  
  2. Snow ski.  Tried snow skiing but my feet hurt in the boots so bad I could not finish the lesson.
  3. Skydive
  4. SCUBA dive  I have accomplished this one.  I am a certified Advanced SCUBA diver.
  5. Visit Russia, Holland, China, Japan, Egypt, British Isles, Rome, France, Austria, Ireland, more of Germany & Italy, Canary Islands, Bermuda, Greece, Hawaii, Spain, and Mexico.
  6. Fly a helicopter.
  7. Go on a cruise, first class. I got to go on a cruise, even though it was not first class, it was very nice.
  8. Ice Skate
  9. Be in the "Limelight",  have 5 minutes of fame.
  10. Be in a Rodeo.
  11. Ride a horse when he jumps over vaults.
  12. Be in a horse race.
  13. Hang glide.
  14. Drive a speedboat.
  15. Sing, dance or act in front of a large crowd and do a good job and feel good about my performance.
  16. Be on American Gladiators. This one wont happen because the show does not exist anymore.
  17. Repair an old house
  18. Build a new house.
  19. Have my own workshop and build neat stuff
  20. Own a farm.
  21. Own a plant nursery.
  22. Learn to play an instrument.
  23. Fly a plane. This one definitely wont happen.
  24. Learn to square-dance and other kinds of modern dances.
  25. Compete in weightlifting.
  26. Ride the world's biggest roller coaster.
  27. Write a book
  28. Get a Masters degree.
  29. Meet Bob Hope. No way of doing that anymore, he is deceased.
  30. Go skinny dipping.
  31. Do a TV commercial.
  32. Model.

Since a lot of the things on my old list are either lost or I can't do them due to physical limitations, I have created a new list.

  • See all 50 states before I die - I am getting there.  I have been to:

    • Texas

    • Illinois
    • Indiana
    • Iowa
    • Arkansas
    • Tennessee
    • Kentucky
    • Louisana
    • Alabama
    • Kansas
    • Missouri
    • Oklahoma
    • Arizona
    • Mississippi 
  • Visit Russia and Lake Baikal - The worlds deepest lake.
  • Visit Holland , Switzerland, England, Korea, Japan, China, Peru... I have lived and visited some foreign countries such as;
    • Italy
    • Germany (was there when it was divided into East and West).
    • Bahamas
    • Canada
  • Make some meaningful impact on society (have not figured out what that will be).
  • Adopt oodles of children.
  • Have a fruit tree farm.
  • Write and publish a cookbook.  I am working on this one, maybe I will get there someday.
  • Ride in a Hot Air Balloon, Air boat, and a Helicopter.
